Bikwasi Haruna Foundation (BHF) is established to care for vulnerable children and teenagers of Kampala, Uganda. We soon identified a need to establish and run a school facility for the children of the community, to teach them the necessary life skills, to provide psychosocial support, as well as to provide food for them to enjoy in a safe environment.

BIKWASI HARUNA FOUNDATION

BHF - While the government of Uganda continues to make varied interventions, the need to assist orphans and vulnerable children remain overwhelming. With the extended family networks collapsing, many children and teenagers are left with no ‘family’ to look to. Thus many children fall prey to abuse by those they come into contact with, in their attempt to solicit help.

We are ready willing and able to take on the challenge, but we need the assistance and support of any individual or organization who can find it in their hearts to make the difference Bikwasi Haruna Foundation (BHF) strive to make in the lives of these children.

FEEDING THE HOMELESS IN JOHANNESBURG PROJECT

There are so many families that struggle on a daily basis with no food for them and their children; a lot of these families live in horrific conditions.

We at the Bikwasi Haruna Foundation are trying to change the fortune of these individuals and their run of bad circumstances by doing the following:

• We help them with food parcels, clothing, blankets, etc.

• Providing basic food parcels per group is costly and we need sponsors. A food parcel with just the bare essentials cost’s us R1500.00 per group per month. We are also in the process of trying to help people that are willing to help themselves, by assisting them in finding employment.

• This particular project entails feeding existing and homeless people, as well as clothing and food to the homeless.

• We have people who are in need of this assistance; therefore, we are imploring you to adopt one person or more to be subsidized for one year.

• It is also difficult for the needy people when they are aware of how quickly a month goes by, in knowing that they will receive that assistance again and can, therefore, concentrate in bettering their life by finding employment or higher paid employment, our aim is to get the people that are able to be independent again.

• We want to fight poverty and give an opportunity to those people who are locked out.
